We all make spelling mistakes (sometimes even an American Vice President does). - There might be spelling mistakes and other mistakes in this text too (- let me know if you find any).

Most of the time, however, these mistakes are of minor importance. What really counts is usually our choice of words and idiomatic phrases - and how well we are able to convey our thoughts and opinions to the person(s) reading our text.

We should nevertheless try as best we can to avoid making these mistakes.

To that end I have listed some fairly common elementary grammar and spelling mistakes made in the "Grunnkurs" classes of "Videregående skole". (To facilitate matters for you the explanation of elementary grammar problems is in Norwegian).

I will try to keep the explanations as simple as possible but you may need to know a few grammar terms.
